How to use our program
Use our materials even a little each day
Determine to use our multi element materials even a little each day. How much time you spend is totally up to you. Some days you might just have enough time to listen to our five minute motivator that you receive every day morning on your email and mobile device. Other days you might want to spend more time reading about something that you really connect with in our program, writing about it in your happiness, motivation and empowerment journal, setting goals that use it, evaluating your actions based on results etc. something we will teach you how to use in this program. The key is consistency.
How to use our program
Mastering the basics: You don't have to become an "expert" in Positive Psychology to really change your life.
The really great thing is that learning to significantly change your life isn't about mastering all kinds of difficult materials or becoming an 'expert" in Positive Psychology. It's more like the way you learn to drive a car. While it is good to know how all the major parts of the car work (the engine, transmission, etc.) you don't have to become a master mechanic (unless you want to) to learn to drive the car safely and get to where you want to go. You just need to access the basics of driving- steering, accelerating, braking and understanding the rules of the road and practice becoming better and better at them. If you try to drive without understanding and practicing the essential basics you may end up wondering why you are spending so much time in the body shop or even have a serious accident. The exact same thing applies to learning to becoming your best and happiest self and creating your best and happiest life now and throughout your life. The great thing is that Positive Psychology research has found certain core principles, beliefs, attitudes and actions that significantly increase happiness, motivation and empowerment in every area of our lives that apply to all human beings. Of course you already know some of the things we teach on this program. These are the core principles, beliefs, attitudes and actions that you have learned and used to create the level of happiness, motivation and empowerment that you already have in your life. But most people are not using these things nearly as consciously, consistently or effectively as they could by far. In this program we will teach you to identify what you are already doing that works and how to use these principles, beliefs and actions more consciously, consistently and effectively. You will also learn many new empowering principles, beliefs and actions that you have nit made part of your life you can choose to incorporate into your thinking, goals and actions that will change your life.
How to use our program
Use our materials in an individualized way
In our program you will learn all kinds of new principles, beliefs, attitudes and actions that you can use in your life to increaase and sustain happiness, motivation and empowerment in every area of your life. But of course you can't and don't have to worry about using all of our materials at once. I want you to use our program even a little each day in an individualized way. While you will learn new concepts about happiness, motivation and empowerment day by day you also should choose areas that you really want to see the most results in in your life right now as a unique indivdual (ie. increasing positive emotions, increasing confidence, goal setting, relationships, financial well being and wealth building skills, energy and vitality, happiness at work etc) and spend more time using our materials and your journal to focus on these areas as we will teach you. There also is a concept in Positive psychology called "fit". This means that when you choose an action or goal to add to your life style from our program you should choose things that you feel you would be more likely to keep doing as a unique individual. For example if you aren't a morning person gettingn up at 5 am won't work for you. Another example when it comes to getting in good physical shape, some people love gong to he gym. Other people hate it and would rather bike, hike or swim or workout at home. The same thing applies to choosing anything from our program to add to your life. Choose tthings to do in the areas you want to work on that "fit" you and that you would most likely jkeep doing.. At the same time i also want you to experiement with new ways of thinking about yourself and new ways of taking action that might get you a little out of your comfort zone. This actually is the only way we really grow,, change our self definition and raise our self expectations.
How to use our program
Use our materials with a daily happiness, motivation and empowerment journal
The only physical thing besides a cell phone or computer that you will need to use our program is a daily happiness, motivation and empowerment journal. This can be a spiral notebook but we suggest you use our 365 day Happiness, Motivation and Empowerment Journal (printable) and journaling manual "How to use daily journaling a little each day to really change your life". (See the menu tab 'Our HME Daily Journaling Program') In traditional journaling you are writing and trying to change your life based on the principles, beliefs, attitudes and actions you have learned thus far in life. and hoping to have some new realizations. This can be very limiting in effectiveness. In our program we teach you to use daily journaling to write about, reflect on, set goals that use, evaluate your actions etc. based on principles, beliefs, attitudes and actions from some of the best minds in the field of positive psychology and make them part of your life. This is MUCH more powerful and effective than traditional journaling by far. When you come across something that you connect with in our program write it down in your journal. We will teach you how to use the journal to write about such things as why you really connect with a certain principle, belief, attitude or action and how your life would change if you put it into action. The reason for this is that the more we can create and reinforce meaningful reasons for changing or achieving something in our lives- in our thinking, goals setting, in taking actions etc., the more that our mind will be motivated to get us to take the actions that we need to achieve the growth or results we want day by day, Also in each of the various areas and topics we focus on we give you various actions you can choose to incorporate into your life. You do not have to do all of them. Choose one or more things you want to put into action in your life and write them down in your journal using the hournal in the way we teach you. You can add more actions to this area of life later over time. Using your journal is where YOU and the knowledge and wisdom of our program come together. You are a creative part of the learning process - integrating what you learn with what you already know, with your own experiences, motivating your life and applying what you learn in action day by day.
